Universal.EcmaScriptModule.TestFramework

Browser-native test declarations, lifecycle hooks, data-driven tests, skipping, focused runs, timeouts, and assertions for .esmproj test projects.

The framework is hosted by esm test and the Visual Studio test adapter. Test projects import Universal.EcmaScriptModule.TestFramework; no Node.js runtime or browser-global script is required.

The package has three deliberate layers:

1. raw.js implements assertions, explicit registration options, execution, and the stable runner protocol.
2. index.js adds the plain-JavaScript suite closure and fluent metadata conveniences.
3. A future decorator adapter can target the raw API after decorators reach the required ECMAScript standardization and browser-support threshold.

The convenience and future decorator layers do not define separate discovery or execution semantics.
